Our Management and Leadership Programs range from management skills to presentations to dealing with difficult behaviors. We can help first-time managers or experienced managers.

Accountability for Results Description:

• This workshop is designed for individual employees and/or managers to enhance their ability to achieve results and increase personal satisfaction in today’s fast paced, high pressure, time demanding environment.

• This is accomplished by looking at current mindsets and behaviors applied directly to work activities, and shifting in ways that benefit the individual, the team, and the organization through “ownership mentality” to achieving results.

• The program provides how-to information around: personal accountability, department accountability and overall organization accountability.
Change Management Description:

• This fast-paced program provides participants with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to succeed in the changing workplace.

• They apply the skills of transition management to a current challenge facing their organization.

• Employee version and a focus on strategies to lead change and help others to successfully deal with change/transition.
Coaching for Key IndividualsDescription:

• Our coaching process causes coachees to discover how their style and approach in dealing with others can become more productive; as well as helping individual’s meet personal challenges that can include focus, initiative or executing strategy.

• GPS Coaching typically involves leaders, managers and key individual contributors who can positively impact organizational productivity in achieving business goals.
Coaching for SuccessDescription:

• The coaching process is a technique that helps managers successfully bring about performance improvements.

• The six-step process presented can help produce performance that exceeds expectations.

• Through coaching, you can build continually improve individual performance…while enhancing teamwork and relationships.
Increasing Managerial Effectiveness Description:

• This program integrates content on effective management practices, management cases, hands-on activities, and personal 360° feedback surveys.

• This gives participants a strong understanding of what effective management actions and practices are and how their employees view their skill level regarding those practices.
Leadership Challenge Description:

• This program provides leaders with the opportunity to expand their leadership skills through a research based proven model.

• Program content is based on The Leadership Challenge book.

• The program provides many practice opportunities to develop one's own leadership style and what they “want to be known for”.

• Leading effectively will foster employee respect and help produce a cohesive team. Leaders will be able to work with others to produce their very best individually and as team members.
Leadership Development Description:

• This is a high impact, experiential program integrating indoor classroom training, activities and personalized feedback surveys (optional).

• This powerful combination of learning tools gives class participants a strong sense of effective leadership styles/practices and how their employees assess their overall effectiveness, exchange ideas, identify individual strengths contributing to their effectiveness, build trust, experience key aspects of leadership, and determine what they want to do differently back on the job.

Management EssentialsDescription:

• This program integrates content on effective management practices, management cases,
hands-on activities, and optional 360° feedback surveys.

• This program blends activities, exercises, and models, for an impactful one day program.
Managing MeetingsDescription:

• This highly effective program helps participants plan and lead meetings that get results.

• Participants review mechanics of meetings, receive feedback on their meeting Leadership/Influence/ Communications skills, and practice planning and leading a variety of information sharing and problem solving meetings.

• Facilitative tools are demonstrated and practiced by participants.
Managing Multiple Priorities SuccessfullyDescription:

• This program provides time management techniques to enable participants to achieve desired results in key working and personal roles.

• A variety of exercises, discussions, and self-assessment instruments are included.
Maximizing Interpersonal RelationshipsDescription:

• Increase relationship strength and the ability to influence positive outcomes in business (and personal) situations.

• The participants receive feedback on their own Style (Driver, Expressive, Amiable, Analytical) from internal customers, staff, peers, support staff, and/or leaders.

• They gain insight on how their style yields potential strengths (to be built upon) and weaknesses (to be turned into strengths) in everyday business dialogue.

• Participants are also taught to identify others' styles and then select appropriate strategies to increase their versatility for responding to others.

• Program activities include simulations, action planning, cases and skill practices relevant to participants’ business situations.
MentoringDescription:

• The basic premise underlying a mentoring program is that, in order for a mentoring relationship to be successful, it must be based on mutual trust and accountability.

• This program lays out the steps to build this trust and provide coaching and feedback.
Note: Two program versions are available, one for Mentors and one for Mentees or combined.

• Mentors and Mentees ideally go through a set of specific selection criteria outlined in the workshop, based on the organizations’ process.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® MBTI®Description:

• Developed by Isabel Myers and Katharine Briggs, the MBTI® instrument is based on the work of Swiss psychiatrist Carl G. Jung’s Theory of Type.

• In this workshop, participants learn about their own type and that of others.
˜Gaining and using energy (Extraversion or Introversion)
˜Gathering information (Sensing or iNtuition)
˜Making decisions (Thinking or Feeling)
˜Organizing and relating to the outside world (Judging or Perceiving)

• The 16 types help participants recognize their own strengths and weakness, appreciate diversity and adjust their behavior promoting healthy cooperation, teamwork and a productive workplace. There are three levels of MBTI self surveys:
1. Simpler paper based in class.
2. The MBTI® Step I (paper or on-line as prework) is used to identify four basic MBTI® preferences.
3. The MBTI® Step II (on-line prework) is more comprehensive and further explains how individuals of the same personality type may differ.

• All versions of programs provide interactive activities and action planning.
Performance Feedback for ResultsDescription:

• This program focuses on providing positive / reinforcement feedback and analyzing performance issues and providing constructive and corrective feedback.

• Feedback at annual performance reviews should not be a surprise to associates; and should receive feedback throughout the year on their performance.
Performance ManagementDescription:

• A comprehensive Performance Management System is essential to successful goal achievement within any organization.

• This program gives managers the necessary knowledge and skills to reach their business objectives.

• Principles of effective performance management are combined with practical "hands-on" skills development activities so participants can learn how to assess, coach, and review employee performance.
Project Management: FundamentalsDescription:

• This workshop is designed to introduce an overview of project management for new and experienced individuals who do occasional projects.

• The program provides the basic tools necessary to plan for, organize, and implement small and large projects.

• A systematic approach to project leadership (team member interaction) and project management (scope, scheduling, control, results) is introduced with emphasis placed on best practices.

• Participants get hands on experience in applying the tools to real projects.
Project Management: AdvancedDescription:

• This workshop is designed for experienced project managers to enhance their ability to implement strong project management methodology as it applies to large projects: more than 50 tasks.

• The program provides in-depth information around five key project management tools: Project Charter, WBS, Project Plan, Status Reporting, and Issue Management.

• The program topics include references to: MS Project, OPM3 Standards, Project Management Institute Body of Knowledge.

• The program supports learning for the Project Management Professional Certificate testing.
Sexual Harassment Awareness & PreventionDescription:

• This program provides supervisors and managers with information on how to prevent and resolve sexual harassment complaints in the workplace.

• Supervisors/managers will be sensitive to the identification of sexual harassment and the sexual harassment investigation process, which could reduce legal fees and public embarrassment and improve the work environment.
Situational CoachingDescription:

• This program provides supervisors and managers with the ‘Situational Coaching’ method for coaching people for their responsibilities and tasks by adjusting the amount of direction provided and appropriately impacting their Willingness, based on the performer’s degree of skill, motivation and confidence.

• Situational Coaching emphasizes a collaborative coaching partnership between managers and direct reports.
Six Sigma DemystifiedDescription:

• This fast-paced program provides participants with the ability to understand the basics of SIX SIGMA as it has been implemented in major organizations throughout the world.

• Whereas at first glance, and first contact,
SIX SIGMA can be perceived as overwhelming and incomprehensible due to an overemphasis on statistical analysis; in this program participants will experience a full overview of SIX SIGMA in a way that removes the sense of confusion and replaces it with a sense of assurance, including the ability to carry on a high level conversation about SIX SIGMA.
Skillful ConversationsDescription:

• Learn and apply the proven approach to mutually effective and satisfying discussions with individuals and small groups during challenging situations with difficult people, or if you might be a ‘difficult’ person yourself!

• Based on research and practice-based work this workshop moves through and beyond the basics of interpersonal & communication skills.
Successful TeamworkDescription:

• This program reviews the characteristics and value of "teamwork."

• The program is always customized, with the client choosing various options from the content areas.

• The program is ideal for employees who cannot attend with their actual team.

• Assessments, activities, and application exercises are blended for being an effective team contributor.
Supervision for ResultsDescription:

• A basic program for new Supervisors/Managers to clarify their roles and responsibilities, provide feedback and work with their team more effectively for a successful transition to supervision.
Team LeadershipDescription:

• Team Leadership focuses on the critical role of the “Team Leader.” Many teams fly or falter because of the skills and knowledge of their leader.

• This program is directed to both project teams and for leaders of their "department team."

• Participants go through simulations, cases and role-plays, actually practicing leadership within a team setting.
Transitioning from Staff to SupervisorDescription:

• As a new supervisor, it is only within the first few weeks your associates will make a positive or negative judgmental view about your ability as a supervisor. Your transition in those first 30-60 days is a critical time.

• This program will provide the tools and techniques to effectively work through the transition from holding your first staff meeting, delegating to giving effective performance feedback.
