When David Gilman started Gilman Performance Systems in 1986, our very first training program was a management training program with a 360° feedback survey instrument----even before the term 360° was used and before the internet!
We believe in feedback surveys and that is where we derived our name from: Gilman Performance Systems. The “performance systems” was from feedback surveys and pre/post program reinforcement, therefore our training was not just an event but also a development process.
During the pre-internet years, GPS provided Feedback Surveys to well over 2500 participants for firms such as Rockwell, American Cyanamid, Millipore, Becton Dickinson and GE.
Yes, it was paper-based, mailed or faxed to us and our team would enter it by hand—over 10,000! Now with the internet everyone does surveys, but for us we have a special view and care. It is our foundation, our roots, our namesake.
We have developed, consulted on and processed over 100 different versions of surveys for our clients. Additionally, other consultants have used our survey services to meet the needs of their clients.
